Coolidge FFA - Says "Thank You" To WISD

Coolidge FFA students, along with FFA Adviser, Kimberly Vargas and Coolidge School administrators, attended the Waxahachie school board meeting on Monday, January 14, 2019. Their purpose was to recognize two of the WISD school board members and high school ag teacher who were instrumental in providing pigs to students that had recently lost animals in the ag barn. Coolidge FFA Vice President, Jill Kutscherousky, spoke to a crowd of 30, recounting the experience of losing show animals and witnessing the outpour of support from individuals and organizations in and around Coolidge, which also stretches as far as Waxahachie Texas. It was truly a gracious moment when Waxahachie board members, Clay Schoolfield and Dusty Autry, as well as Waxahachie ag teacher, James Glenn, replaced the pigs lost by Coolidge Ag students. Jill, Erika Samaniego, and Christian Martinez presented each with a plague expressing thankfulness for their generosity.
